Chinese Tuna fillet Round Belly Hand Forged Knife 230mm blade, 1000g
I purchased the round belly fillet knife for lots of customer requests.
Lots of people are looking for the knife to fillet tuna or large size fish.
We could find two blacksmiths in Tiwan, but it is little too expensive (around $500 in wholesale price) for end users for fillet fish, so
We found the blacksmith in small blacksmith town in mainland China.
We ordered 3 different sizes 15 pieces each, and all of them pretty similar looking, so his job is very consistent as a blacksmith.
It is pretty good look hand forged knife.
I guess the blacksmith has great hand forged and polishing consistent skill to make the knives.
The handle work looks very good too.
The steel is mono spring steel (high carbon steel).
It is not stainless steel, so we have to dry the blade after used it.
It is thick blade cleaver, so carbon steel is ideal and easier to sharpen.
The blade is tapered from the spine to the edge and from the heel to the tip, however it is 7.5mm (5/16”) thick spine near by the handle.
