After the processes that video shows, there are many more processes to cut off or sanding to knife shape, and heat processes like quenching and tempering. His forging speed is super fast that is very important skill to have great cutlery at HIzukuri (forging process). It makes the particles of the steel structure rougher (loosing Carbon) with heating up many times during forging process. Mr. Kenichi Shiraki is very skillful blacksmith, and he makes before sharpening processes, and Mr. Kazumi Kawakita who is also very skillful sharpening specialist sharpens the blade.

The brand name, Tessue derives from Tesshu Yamaoka who is a master swordsman, Zen master, and calligraphy master. I have nothing relationship with him, but I deeply respect him, and I use his first name for our brand name. Hopefully, we will keep track of right way like him in the future.

He is Munenryu master swordsman, and he also started his way Mutoryu. He had lived most bloody era when Japan had tried to open the country to the world (the end of Samurai era), but he had never killed people in his life time. He had done solving lots of complicated problems in politic that no one else could solve. If he was not there at the era in Japan, Japan might be taken some other countries or might be changed the form of the country. Many experts say, he might be the strongest Samurai (master swordsman), but his way is always no blood no war. Just trust each other. No strategy. No Betrayal. No Politic. No greed. Winning without fight or winning before fight with sword. However, he did not come out the front stage of politic. When politicians could not solve the problems, then they asked him to solve it, and he solved those complicated problems. That is why he is famous persons who research Japanese history very well, but the most of Japanese do not know even his name. He is also Zen master and devoted for Zen field a lot. He is also calligraphy master, and he had written millions of calligraphy for free whoever people wanted his calligraphy. He was master of those three things Ken, Zen, and Sho (calligraphy), but he never loosed Inquiring mind until right before dying. He had been also a teacher for Meiji emperor who was very smart great emperor.

It is over one hundred years later now after his living era, but we might need the person, who is like him our era, so I have nothing relationship with him, but I deeply respect him, and I use his first name for our knife brand name. Hopefully, we keep track of the right way in the future like him without going wrong way. We will try to provide high quality selected knives with reasonable prices.
