Nishine Nata (hatchet) 210mm Blue II Steel Blade with oak Wood Handle with Wild Akita Japanese Cedar wood cover.
This Nata is made by the same blacksmith as Matagi Nagasa. The wood cover is made as put on waist with strong string or it can put through waist belt with leather loop. The wood is made out of Akita Japanese Cedar that is one of highest quality Japanese cedar. It is amazing thing what I cannot see any place putting together the wood cover, so it must be made by one piece of wood. Wild Japanese cedar will not get in several years, because it will be prohibited to cut down wild one. The Japanese cedar also has antibacterial effect. The blacksmith, Mr. Nishine is the 4th generations of taking over the works to make MATAGI NAGASA Knife and regional cutlery to save as one of traditional Japanese cultural treasures.
